♥ Happy New Year!!

First off, Happy new year everyone!!
I know I haven't blogged since AUGUST but I've turned over a new leaf, and am going to be better in 2013.  For real this time.

Since I've missed so much blogging and 2012 was SUCH a great year, I'll just sum it up by saying that I've truly never been happier and can't wait to see what this new year brings!

Brooks and I stayed up half the night talking about changes we wanted to see in ourselves for this new year, and coming from a person who NEVER does resolutions, I'm quite excited about it!  I have always thought resolutions were dumb because nobody ever kept them, but after reading some good articles on the value of goals and resolutions I'm deciding to finally give it my best shot.

Most of our resolutions are private, flaws we feel we could do better on and will help each other get better with, but there are some pretty good ones that I'm really excited to share with you!

1.  Being Healthy: Brooks and I really want to start the new year off right by picking up some better health habits.  We got some gym memberships recently that should take care of our fitness, but we want to be better with eating healthier too.  I've already purchased some groceries for some yummy looking recipes that I found on Pinterest! (I know, I'm such a girl.)

2. Praying for Each other: One of my favorite things about Brooks is something he prays for every day: That he will only have eyes for me. My Dad has always prayed for the same thing and has the most beautiful and incredible marriage with my mom without ever taking a glance at another woman, and it really impressed Brooks.  When he told me he wanted to do the same thing after getting married I immediately choked up.  I'm SO lucky.

This is mainly my own resolution, I want to follow Brooks' example and do the same for him.  The best thing about marriage is that no matter how hard life seems at that particular time, the two of us are ALWAYS standing by each other.  We are there to pick each other up, and by constantly keeping each other in our prayers I think we will both feel our burdens lightened.

3. Blogging More Often: This one is obvious.  However I am planning on being better at this with the help of my fourth resolution...

4.  Go on 100 Different Dates in one Year: I'm SO excited for this resolution.  A friend in my ward told me about it and that after going on all these different dates and taking pictures, we will make an adorable smash album about it that we can always treasure.  Brooks and I are still newly married, so using this creative resolution will help us grow closer and increase the fun in our relationship, and it's a perfect time to do it since we are still young and have no parental responsibilities.

Our first two dates:  Bowling and the movies! (They'll get more creative, I swear)

Now, not that Facebook isn't great, but I don't use it quite as much anymore, and mainly use my Instagram account as my social media source.  Since not all of my family members have an instagram account, I'm including the link Gramfeed which is an online Instagram Web Viewer.  So basically, you click on the link, and type in the hash tag #reynoldsresolution2013 into the search bar, and it'll bring up all of our dates from this year!  I include that hash tag on every date I post, so when searching it or clicking on it, it'll bring up all of my pictures related to our new years resolution! So hopefully that'll help fill in for my favorite relatives =)

Well, those are my favorite resolutions that we'll be participating in.  I can already tell 2013 will be our best year! We have already started it off wonderfully by spending time with my family and helping them pick out a house in South Jordan, UT! Lots of changes for the Savage family!

Here are some of my favorite moments from the holidays:

And a few highlights with my other family on Thanksgiving.  I'm truly a lucky girl!

2012 has truly been a wonderful year.  We got our sweet puppy Sonic, celebrated our first anniversary, and made lots of wonderful memories.  I have the greatest two families and my best friend as a husband.  Can't wait to get even closer this year with our resolutions! Till next time! (Which I promise won't be four months away!)
